MIT Women's Technology Program Summer 2021

Post by Rocheleau »

Summer 2021 MIT Women’s Technology Program (WTP) application is now available on our website. . The deadline is January 15th.

WTP is a 4-week summer academic program introducing high school students to engineering and computer science.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WTP 2021 will be a Virtual online program (not residential on the MIT campus).
It will be FREE for participating students this year.

WTP is a women-focused, collaborative community aimed at empowering students from groups historically underrepresented and underserved in engineering. We especially encourage students to apply who will be the first family member to attend college, who come from high schools with limited access to STEM classes and activities, or who are from backgrounds historically underrepresented in STEM such as African American, Hispanic, or Native American.

Applicants must be high school students currently in Grade 11 who:

love and excel at math and science, but have no prior experience (or very little) in engineering or computer science
would like to experience hands-on activities where they design and build engineering projects
enjoy problem solving and collaborative learning
want to spend 4 weeks this summer focused on learning about engineering and computer science
More program details for 2021 are in our Calendar and FAQ.
