Winter Pre-College
Learn about pre-college opportunities during Winter Session 2021. Our online pre-college programs are designed to give you a preview of the UMass student experience, including college-level academics and being part of a learning community of high school students from all across the U.S. and the world.

Courses will be delivered online through live meetings and will include offline assignment and projects.
Courses meet synchronously 3 - 5 times per week primarily using Zoom, but may use other communication tools.
Courses will be managed through UMass Amherst's Moodle or Blackboard platforms. Learn more about Blackboard and Moodle.

Digital Drawing & Watercolor in Architecture and Landscape Architecture
This 2-week program is designed for students who want to explore the fundamentals of digital drawing and digital watercolor.

Intro to Programming with Video Games
Learn to code while building classic video games and interactive programs! In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of programming through building interactive programs and games.

This winter, high school students interested in psychology are invited to join the research lab of Prof. Youngbin Kwak in the UMass Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences for an interactive online program.

Intro to Research in Psychology: Ready Lab
High school students interested in clinical psychology and neuropsychology are invited to join Prof. Rebecca Ready’s research lab at UMass Amherst this winter.

Kinesiology: Pathway to the Medical Professions
The objective of this week-long course is to highlight a path through the discipline of Kinesiology to a medical career, including research in physiology, metabolism, biomechanics, physical activity behavior and neuroscience.
